EDIT:Added eyes to the skull and changed the story a little...

If you 've read about Cubone's Dex entry,you might have noticed how sad this Pkmn feels about the lost of his mother,to the point he wears her skull as a mask!
(And im pretty sure it wont wait for the head to decompose to wear it...yuck! ).

Its Perhaps the most "emo" character in the Pkmn franchise (Yes,even more than the Mewtwo from the 1st movie).

What does this have to do with the picture Im uploading? Well,trying to come up with a Marowak Evolution for a contest (ill get there soon) Ive noticed many fake evolutions of Marowak around the internet and DA .
However,nobody actually cared to use the whole "dead mother" thing as part of an evo idea-(GHOST type anyone?)

BUT instead of a Marowak Evolution,this is a Cubone's alternate evolution! the idea fits perfectly that way.
Why a sketch with sprites around? ill get there too.

Skurrudge

(Ghost/Ground)

Ability: (thinking about one)

Evolves from Cubone at lvl 28 with frustration maxed out.

Why this happens?:

"Sometimes,the sadness,anger and frustration of a Cubone for the loss of his mother is so strong that her spirit cant rest in peace,and stays in our realm.More precisely,in the skull the little one wears.

BUT if the bond between them was too strong and Cubone develops a strong depression,whether is because of the whole situation (and/or being in real danger),her spirit will end up returning to our realm through the skull,living within her son in mind,body and heart,to jump over the natural barriers of life and death,and be together in this realm till the end of Cubone's natural life."

To put it short:The mother spirit lives in the skull and within Cubone (Now a Marowak,but with the powers of ghosts).

Well,this is basically all of it.The drawing in the back is a preliminary sketch of the original Design,which is represented as a sprite.Why a sprite? well,the PWO site (Pokemon world online,the pokemon game im playing online) is hosting a contest to select the best fakemon for their game.The winner gets the Pokemon on its team and in the game for others to get it! So i had to do some sprites to enter.
