I wrote up an idea for a screenplay that had Team Cypher bringing Shadow Lugia to Goldenrod City, which was always my headcanon for where mewtwo was. Then, Cynthia and Lance woke up Giratina, and there was an awesome three-way battle for the city. It was badass.

it still wont be a one-hit K.O. even if he lands a critical, while XD001's Shadow blast is just as powerful as a hyperbeam/aeroblast, and since its super effective, chances are mewtwo will be out before he knows what hit him

actually, aeroblast has 100 base power, not 150 like hyperbeam, and shadow blast has only 80 base power and does not have the increased chance of critical hits that aeroblast does
